Eldo "Pete" Petersen, 94, of Rosewood Estates, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born October 6, 1909 in Luzerne, Iowa, son of Chris and Libby (Chalupsky) Petersen. He married Beulah B. Wilson on October 30, 1946. She died March 20, 1997.

Pete graduated from Orange Township High School in 1927. He served in the United States Army during WWII with the 139th Ordnance MM Company and then worked as a mechanic for three farm implement dealers in the local area, retiring in 1980.

He was a member of the South Waterloo Church of the Brethren where he was very involved. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to watch "Jeopardy" and " The Price Is Right."

Pete is survived by his brother, Loren Petersen of Waterloo, Iowa; sister, Opal Schrock of Waterloo, Iowa; two sister-in-laws, Alice Petersen of Waterloo, Iowa and Marge Petersen of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beulah; three brothers, Howard, Robert and Estel Petersen and sister, Garnet Miller.
