Evelyn B. Klipping, 91, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born July 2, 1913 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Bertha (Charlson) Kliping.

Evelyn graduated from University of Iowa School of Nursing in 1937 and was a registered nurse at various hospitals. She retired in 1974.

Evelyn is survived by her nephew, Harvey Larson of Milford, IA; nephew, Alfred Klipping of Buffalo Center, IA; niece, Ardith Bredeson of Rake, IA; niece, Mary Hove of Forest City, IA; niece, Ruth Smith of Forest City, IA; nephew, Tom Gorton of Waterloo, IA; niece, Cheryl Dutcher of Rosburg, WA; nephew, Paul Gorton of Eau Claire, WI; nephew, Robert Gorton of Marion, IA; niece, Joan Butler of Omaha, NE; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Beatrice Klipping, Pauline Gorton and Genevieve Larson; and two brothers, Paul Klipping and George Klipping Jr.

Friends who wish may direct memorials to the Amenity Hospice or Columbus High School.
