CEDAR FALLS - Marjorie M. Hunting, 88, of NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1926, in Waterloo, daughter of Harrison and Ethel Johnson Hunt. She married Duane Allen Hunting on May 1, 1949, at First Presbyterian Church in Waterloo. He died Oct. 8, 2007.

Marjorie graduated from East High School in 1944 and Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago, with a Registered Nurse degree in 1947. She worked as an RN at St. Francis Hospital and for Dr. Rex Smith until going to Allen Memorial Hospital in 1951 and working as an obstetrics registered nurse until her retirement in 1981.

Survived by two daughters, Marianne (Glen) Siegfried of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Linda (Dan) Rhoades of Cedar Falls; a son, Mark (Vicki) Hunting of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Nicole (Paul) Cox, Corey (Josh) Preisser, Cynthia (Dan Hacker) Hunting and Stephanie Hunting; and two great-grandchildren, Talan Preisser and Fiona Hacker.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Hunt, and a sister, Mary Hostetler.

Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, preceded by inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Duane and she enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Weslaco, Texas.
