LA PORTE CITY-- Nickolina “Nicki” Clark, 85, of Marion, formerly of La Porte City, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Village Ridge Assisted Living, Marion.

She was born Feb. 3, 1929, in Coleman, Mich., daughter of Henry and Norine Murphy Burch. She married Herb Clark on May 15, 1948, in Pontiac, Mich.

Nicki had worked for Veterinarian Borge Jessen and belonged to St. Ann’s Rosary at Sacred Heart Church.

Survived by her husband; a son, Tim (Denise) of Johnston; a daughter, Pamela Clark of Coggon; six grandchildren, Matthew (Rachel) Clark, Emily Clark, Robert (Ruth) Hojka, Eric Hojka, Laura (Andrew) Wenger-Rommann and Lisa (Roy) Foster; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Michael Burch of Houston; and three sisters, Agnes Richer and Patricia Keesling, both of Pontiac, and Elizabeth Galatis of Plantation, Fla.

Preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; six brothers, Jesse, Danny, John “Jack,” Donald, William and Charles Burch; and four sisters, Pamela Burch in infancy, Catheryn Villeneuve, Evelyn Yarber and Dorothy McMahon-Galatis.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Porte City. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the La Porte City Funeral Home, with a 5 p.m. Scripture service.

Memorials may be directed to the church.

Nicki enjoyed bowling, playing Scrabble and cards, biking and spending time with grandchildren.
