CEDAR FALLS- Roland O. Siebert, 89, of Wellsburg, died Monday, September 30, 2008, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

He was born December 14, 1918, in Freeburg, IL, the son of Elmer and Lulu Mueller Siebert. He married Esther M. Krazer on April 12, 1943 in St. Louis, MO. She died January 11, 2002.

Mr. Siebert served in the United States Army Air Corps and was later employed by the FAA as Maintenance Chief at the Waterloo Airport.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Neal and Joleen Siebert of Wellsburg; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Luella Eleance of Colorado, Eileen Brandenburg of new Athen, IL and Rose Marie (Ray) Brown of Belleville, IL.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and Elmer, Jr.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Richardson Funeral Home with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Military honors will be provided by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
