[Waterloo Daily Courier, Friday, September 9, 1949, Waterloo, Iowa]

Mrs. Minnie Pearl Steinmayer, 74, a descendant of early Waterloo settlers, and a lifelong resident of the city, died of carcinoma at her home, 618 West First Street, at 3:20 a. m. Friday. She had been ill since March.

Born July 29, 1875, in Waterloo, the daughter of Ebenezar and Roveilla Ann Cobb Pendleton, she was educated in Waterloo schools and was married in Waterloo to Henry Steinmayer July 20, 1898.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Forrest E. Barnhart, 628 Conger Street, Mrs. Ortis Watson, 304 Moir Street, and Mrs. Robert Wetlaufer, 613 West Mullan Ave., and one grandson.

Mrs. Steinmayer was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, her husband, her parents and a sister.

The body was taken to Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, where arrangements are pending.
