CEDAR FALLS - Donald G. Willhite, 64, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.

He was born Oct. 14, 1943, in Waterloo, son of Herschel and Alice Marie Bishop Willhite. He married Janyce Walbaum on Oct. 14, 1961, in Vermillion, S.D.

Mr. Willhite was employed as an inspector in the John Deere Foundry, Waterloo Works and Engine Works, retiring in 1997. He had been a member of UAW Local No. 838, Loyal Order of Moose and had been a Boy Scout master.

Survived by his wife; a son, Donald Jr. (Patti); a daughter, Lisa (Rick) Pazour of Pukwana, S.D.; two grandchildren, Anna and Drew Pazour of Pukwana; a stepgrandson, Christopher Diest of Des Moines; a brother, Gary (Kay) Cole of Waterloo; and two sisters, Fern (Kenneth) Baker of Cedar Falls and Diane Knaack of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Kimball Cemetery, Kimball, S.D. on Saturday. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
