Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a. m. at St. John's Catholic Church for Mrs. Julia Howe, 81, who died yesterday morning of complications incident to advanced age at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Miner, three miles south of Independence, Ia.

Rev. Fr. Cecil McSweeney, assistant pastor at St. John's will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Howe was born Julia Russell, the daughter of Michael and Catherine Russell, Mar. 24, 1868, at Clarion, la.

She was married to Frank A. Howe, Dec. 13, 1893, at Clarion. They moved to Waterloo in 1909, and lived at 501 Fowler Street for more than 30 years.

Surviving are one son, Frank H. Howe, 1015 West Fourth street, two daughters, Mrs. Miner, and Mrs. Mane Goslin, Cedar Rapids, Ia., two brothers, James and Ed
Russell, both of Clarion, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 2 p.m.
