Funeral services for Dallas Dean Deeds will be held on Monday, September 19, 1949 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kearns Garden Chapel, Waterloo, Iowa conducted by the Reverend Harry E. Ketchum, pastor of the Hagerman Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.

Dallas Dean Deeds, six year old son of Harold Deeds of 410 River Forest Road, Evansdale, Iowa, passed away on Friday, September 16, 1949 while on his way to the University Hospital at Iowa City, Iowa in an ambulance from Polio.

The boy who was Black Hawk Counties third fatality from Polio, lived with his grandparents, Mr and Mrs Charles Deeds of 1130 Chalmers Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa.

Dallas Dean Deeds, 6, passed away on Friday, September 16, 1949 on his way to University Hospital, Iowa City, Iowa by ambulance.

The son of Harold and Janet Porter Deeds Pierce of 410 River Forest Road, Evansdale, Iowa; was born on June 15, 1943 in Waterloo, Iowa. An attempt was being made to locate his the boy's mother Friday, September 16, 1949 the family said. She had remarried and moved from Waterloo, Iowa.

Besides his parents, the child is survived by his grandparents, Charles and Mary Deeds of 1130 Chalmers Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa. Also surviving are two half-brothers, Darrell Deeds and Harold Deeds of 410 River Forest Road, Evansdale, Iowa; and a half sister, Jan Lee Pierce; a maternal grandmother, Mrs. Russell Lampman, Gerald Porter; a maternal grandfather, Mr and Mrs William Slack, the paternal great grandparents of Waverly, Iowa; Mrs Edith Porter, the maternal great grandmother, living in California.
