WATERLOO - Roger Anthony Craig, 79, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at Lakeview Landing.

He was born Jan. 11, 1935, in Waterloo, son of William J. and Beulah Green Craig. He married Evelyn Reuter on Nov. 5, 1955, in Waterloo.

Roger graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He worked for Titus Manufacturing for 12 years and (IPS) Mid-American Resources for 29 years, retiring Dec. 1, 1995. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Eagles.

Survived by his wife; a son, Martin “Marty" (Sarah) of Waterloo; two daughters, Beth (Bob) Starbuck and Rita (Jim) Konrardy, both of Waterloo; five sisters, Marie Schlorff of Waterloo, Florence Gaffney of Des Moines, JoAnn (Garth) Rathjen of Mason City, Kathleen (Steve) Jensen of Cammeron, Wis., and Charlene (Perry) Dahlin of Coon Rapids, Minn.; two brothers, Edward (Judy) of Waterloo and Patrick (Sherry) of Cedar Falls; four sisters-in-law, Fran Craig of Bolivar, Ohio, Grace Craig of Gulf Port, Miss., Joan Craig and Ruth Knapp, both of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, Sara (Mark) Gallagher, Chris Starbuck, Allison (Chris) Obermeier, Hannah Konrardy, Craig Konrardy, Alexis (Cody) Wilson, Jocelyn Craig and Brooke Craig; five great-grandchildren, Carter and Gavin Gallagher, Grant and Emme Obermeier and Easton Wilson.

Preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Laura Jo; five brothers, Thomas, William (Mildred), Richard, Robert and James; a sister, Monica (Dean) Cashman; a half-sister, Eileen Stang; two brothers-in-law, Bob Schlorff and Lee Gaffney.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street with a 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church, Columbus Catholic High School or Cedar Valley Hospice.
