WATERLOO - Albert “Al” Valentine, 70, of Waterloo, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born on June 29, 1944 in Omaha, Neb., son of Albert Sr. and Edna Wiggins Valentine. Al married Nancy Hist on March 18, 1977, in Ottumwa.

He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs. He worked as an accountant for many years, in janitorial services, and had also worked as a real estate agent.

Survived by his wife; four daughters, Angela, Lisa and Carmelita Valentine and Yolanda Henderson, all of Omaha; four sisters, Mary Ann Valentine, April Wynn and Cherry Glass, all of Omaha, and Gaylene Valentine of Canada; four brothers, William of Houston and Louis, Benny, and Dwayne, all of Omaha; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Jane and Joann Valentine and Nearine "No" Booker; and two brothers, Robert and Roger.

Services: no services or visitation planned at this time. His body has been cremated with no inurnment planned at this time. Locke Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.

Al had a lifelong love of fishing. He also loved working on and restoring cars, especially Chevy Vegas.
