Phil M. Snyder, 69, of Tripoli, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at home.

He was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Waterloo, son of John "Jack" and Aura M. Parker Snyder. He married Garnetta Nielsen on July 21, 1962, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Greene.

Mr. Snyder worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works from 1972 to 1997 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Stacey Snyder and Allyson (Bruce) Mueller, both of Tripoli, and Dawn Chapman of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; and two brothers, Warren (Diane) of Omaha, Neb., and Lowell "Mac" (Betty) of Waterville.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Faith United Church of Christ, Tripoli, with cremation to follow. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rettig Funeral Home, Tripoli, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family or Wapsie Sportsman Club in Tripoli.
