Waterloo - Kevin Dale "OZ" Osborn, 55, of Waterloo, died at home Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014.

He was born May 20, 1959, in Newton, son of Marion D. and Beverly L. Kleinendorst Osborn.

Kevin graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1977 and attended Hawkeye Tech, Waterloo. He was a local D.J. and owned and operated “Land Of OZ.” He was employed with Wayne Communications, Cedar Falls, as an electronic tech. Kevin attained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of Grace Reformed Church.

Survived by his father of Cedar Falls; three sisters, Roxane (Paul) Ash and Melissa (Mark) Kappel both of Waterloo, and LuAnn (Jim) Cundiff of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Brian (Lisa) Osborn of Waterloo; 10 nieces and nephews; and two great-nephew twins.

Preceded in death by his mother; and his fiance, Sherry Hauser.

Services: will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kimball United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kevin was involved in the artistry of light and sound for Crossed, and played bass for Country Gems. He provided music and sound for the 4th Street Cruise. He also placed sound systems in several local churches.
