Lois Jeanne "Pat" Thorne, 84, of Sebastian, Fla., passed away Oct. 2, 2006, at her residence.

Mrs. Thorne was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Beaver Falls, Pa. She was a 26-year resident of Florida, having moved there from Cedar Falls.

She was a retired dietitian and was the co-founder of Stepping Stone Quilters Guild, a weaver at Willer's Marketplace and worked with Meals on Wheels.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Edward J. Thorne; daughters, Debra L. Barry (Jack) of Gilroy, Calif., and Erika J. Thorne (Liz) of Minneapolis; sons, E. James Thorne (Joanie) of Bedford, Texas, and Joseph C. Thorne (Jolene) of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at Roseland United Methodist Church, 8205 129th Court, Roseland, Fla.
