Funeral services are pending at the Locke Funeral Home for Jacob Baer, 85, who died at 1:30 a. m. Tuesday at Sartori Hospital, Cedar Falls, of a heart attack. Mr. Baer had been a resident of the Western convalescent home for the last few months. He had lived in Waterloo since 1943.

Mr. Baer was born in Switzerland Sept. 21, 1874, the son of August and Caroline Baer. He married Dora Honig Sept. 18, 1901, in Newark, N. J. He was a member of the Walnut St. Baptist Church.

Survivors are the wife, of the Western home; one daughter, Mrs. Herman Meyer, 2515 Ansborough, and a half-brother; Walter Baer, of Clam Falls, Wis. Three grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Mr. Baer was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. Thursday at the Locke Funeral Home for Jacob Baer, 85, who died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls, of a heart attack.

Mr. Baer had been a resident of the Western convalescent home for the last few months. He had lived in Waterloo since 1943.

The Rev. David L. Moore, of the Walnut St. Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Midwest Garden of Memories.
