FORMER TEACHER DIED AT FT. DODGE

LOU MINNICK SUCCUMBED AFTER OPERATION.

Taught in East Side Schools For a Number of Years.

Miss Lou Minnick, formerly a teacher in the sixth and seventh grades of East Waterloo schools, died at Fort Dodge this morning, following a surgical operation a week ago for gall stones.

Miss Minnick was a proficient and highly respected member of the school faculty during the several years she was identified with educational work in Waterloo. Following her resignation here she went to an art school in Chicago and perfected herself for the position of art instructor in the Fort Dodge public schools, under direction of Prof. L. H. Minkel. Since last autumn she was connected with the Gypsum City schools in this capacity.

During her last illness Mrs. L. H. Minkel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Edwards of this city, was with her almost constantly. Miss Minnick had many friends in Waterloo, two of whom, Mrs. F. W. Warren and Mrs. C. A. Mills, left today for Fort Dodge to attend the funeral.
