Dell Shannon, 67, of 647 Ankeny St., died at 6 a.m. Monday.

He was born at Clarksville Feb. 6, 1892, the son of Christopher and Harriett Parriott Shannon. On Oct 15, 1918, he married Hattie E. Edwards in Waterloo.

Mr. Shannon was a structural iron worker for many years, but for the past five years he was employed by the Zeidler Concrete Products Co.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Juanita Stickles, Chicago, and Mrs. Muriel Mulleneaux, Des Moines; one son, Patrick, of 160 Argyle St., and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

The body is at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home, pending funeral arrangments.
