Nick Nielsen, Sr., 64, died at 5:15 a.m. today at his home, 327 High Street, from carcinoma of the spine.

Deceased was born Nov. 14, 1864, at Nestved, Denmark. He married Miss Marie Jorgensen, Jan. 29, 1892, at Copenhagen. The couple resided there five years. Then they came to Omaha, Neb., where they lived 15 years, coming to Waterloo in 1911.

Mr. Nielsen operates a bakery and grocery at 1111 Fourth Street East.

Surviving besides his widow are one son, Nick, jr., San Luis Obispo, Cal.; three daughters: Miss Mildred and Ethel Nielsen, at home; Mrs. W. A. Anderson and Mrs. R. A. Mussett, 121 Courtlandt Street; also one brother and one sister in Denmark.

A daughter, Edna, died three years ago.

Funeral arrangements await the arrival of the son from California. He started Wednesday for Waterloo by motor. The body is at Petersen Bros.' Mortuary.

Funeral services for Nick Nielsen, Sr., 84, north Waterloo baker, who died Monday at his home, 327 High Street will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Bros.' chapel, Rev. Henry Mueller, pastor of First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview.

Surviving besides his widow are one son, Nick jr., San Luis Obispo, Cal.; four daughters: Mildred and Ethel, at home; Mrs. W. A. Anderson and Mrs. R. A. Mussett, 121 Cortlandt Street; also one brother and one sister in Denmark.

Mr. Nielsen had a wide acquaintance.
