Alvae F. 'Bud' Coon Services for Alvae F. "Bud" Coon, 66, of 1416 Washington St., Apt. 101, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Chapel of Memories West with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Graveside military rites will be by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1623. Mr. Coon died Monday night at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 23, 1918, at Sanborn, Minn., son of Alvae and Gertrude Colvin Coon. She married Madelia Goings July 25, 1938, at Waterloo.

He retired from Winterbottom Supply in 1968. He was past commander of King Marson Chapter 11 of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, William F. Coon of Waterloo, Alvae Gerald Coon of Evansdale and Staff Sgt. Robert Coon of Fort Mead, Md.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Jean Wood of Indianola and Charlotte Ferria* of Jacksonville, Fla. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
