Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Parrott and Wood Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary B. Eskridge, 83, a former Waterloo resident who died yesterday at her home in Louisville, Ky of a heart ailment.

The body will arrive in Waterloo Wednesday morning. Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Fred Miller, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

She was born Mary Hardaway on Sept. 28, 1876, in Vine Grove, Ky., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hardaway. She was married to Jess M. Eskridge in 1897 at Jeffersonville, Ind.

The couple moved to Louisville, Ky., and then moved to Waterloo in 1940. Her husband preceded her in death in 1945. She returned to Louisville, Ky., in 1950. While she was in Waterloo, Mrs. Eskridge was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. W. N. Rice, 655 Johnson St., and a grandchild.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers a memorial be made to the First Methodist Church.
