WATERLOO - Rita Ann Bentley, 89, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 9, 2014, at Bartels Nursing and Rehab, Waverly, of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 15, 1925, daughter of Joseph and Emily Berthaiume Kipp. She married Wallace Bentley on Nov. 10, 1943, in San Diego; he preceded her in death.

Rita graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Waterloo.

Survived by a son, Michael (Betsy) of Denver; three daughters, Judy (Patrick) Mrzlak of Denver, Susan Hanker of Tucson, Ariz., and Josephine (Sean) Henry of Raymond; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Kipp of Florida.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Kipp; and two sisters, Margaret Rawleson and Gloryellen Lalley.

Private family services will be conducted, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
