EVANSDALE - Pearl I. Guess, 86, of Evansdale, died Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Feb. 4, 1922, in Greene, daughter of Wallace and Merle Bragg Price. She married John F. Guess Sr. on June 19, 1940, in Garner.

Mrs. Guess was a homemaker.

Survived by her husband; a son, John Jr. (Karen) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Judith Ann Richmond of Evansdale; four grandchildren, Kathy (Greg) Skopec, Kimberly (Melvin) Gunter, Kristin Guess and Dustin Guess; nine great-grandchildren, Ericka Rivera, Bradley Rivera, Katie Gunter, Jacob Gunter, Emmie Skopec, Gabby Skopec, Jessica Skopec, Tysen Skopec and Jaiden Guess; a brother, Bob (Donna) Price of Indio, Calif.; and a sister, Eleanor Goddard of Charles City.

Preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Niebergall.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Waterloo Memorial Park Chapel, with burial in the cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Monday at the chapel.
