WATERLO -- Karen Marie Parks, 71, of Waterloo, died at home Monday, July 7, 2014.

She was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Oelwein, daughter of Mike and Marie Rogge. She married Joseph Quandt in 1962 in Sumner; he died July 4, 1966. She married Jerry Holdiman in 1967 in Cedar Falls, and they later divorced. She married Robert Parks in 1989 in Waterloo, and they were later divorced.

Karen was a homemaker and also worked for many years as manager of Carriage Hill Apartments, Waterloo.

Survived by three daughters, Lori (Scott) Heldt of Norwalk, Tami (Erik) Tofte of Cedar Falls and Lisa (Justin) Staker of Traer; six grandchildren, Haley Heldt, Brooke Heldt, Korey Merrick, Alexa Tofte, Skyler Staker and Ayden Staker; a great-granddaughter, Arabella Heldt; and two brothers, Arthur Thomas (Dawn) Jacobsen of Independence and Don (Tina) Jacobsen of Las Vegas.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sumner.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, showing West Highland white terriers and country music.
