CEDAR FALLS - Kevin John Newton, 57, of Cedar Falls, died at home Thursday, July 3, 2014.

He was born Nov. 30, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Richard and Mary Cox Newton.

He graduated from Waterloo West High School, and worked as a carpenter.

Survived by two daughters, Rachel Newton of Waterloo and Kelsey (Justin) Dicken of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Jackson Dicken of Cedar Falls; his parents of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Mark (Marsha) of Cedar Falls and Greg (JoLynn) of Hastings, Minn.; a sister, Deb Newton of Ogilvie, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a niece, Elly Newton.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with visitation an hour before services.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Kevin enjoyed his daily walks with his grandson Jackson at Big Woods Lake.
