WATERLOO - Linda J. Larson, 64, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born July 26, 1949, in Independence, daughter of Clifford Lee and Mildred Marie First Downing. She married Gary R. Larson on Feb. 26, 1966, at First Baptist Church, Independence.

Linda worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. In recent years she cared for her grandchildren in her home.

Survived by her husband; four sons, Jerry (Tamara), Jeff, Larry (Tracy) and Terry (Teri), all of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jimmy Lee Downing; and a sister, Lois Peyton.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, preceded by an hour of visitation, followed by cremation.
