NORA SPRINGS - Harold Duane Weisert, 71, of Nora Springs, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Muse-Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, of cancer.
He was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Waterloo, son of George and Jesse McDowall Weisert. He married Almira Hess on Oct. 24, 1953, in Jesup.
Mr. Weisert graduated from Dunkerton High School and pursued a career in the agriculture field.
Survived by his wife; his mother of Waterloo; four sons, Duane (Lori) of Sumner, Mike (Wendy) of Northwood, Alan (Laura) of Albert Lea, Minn., and Bob (Mary) of Austin, Minn.; two daughters, LuAnn (John) Rottinghaus of Nora Springs and Becky (Randy) Enfield of Washington; 16 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a brother, Marvin (Marilyn) of Bloomington, Ill.; and a sister, Sue Stroh of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Dennis.
Services were Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mason City, with burial in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs. Sheckler Colonial Chapel, Nora Springs, was in charge of arrangements.
