WATERLOO - Harvey H. Jackson, 66, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, June 13, 2005, at Blake Medical Center, Bradenton, of cancer.

He was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Lawrence, Kan., son of Harvey Eugene and Irene Mezzeppa Graves Jackson. He married Patricia A. McDermott Feb. 2, 1962, in Bainbridge, Md.

He graduated from Lawrence High School and received an associate degree from the University of Kansas. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Mr. Jackson was employed as an engineer for Deere & Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Martin Lodge No. 624 A.F. & A.M., El Kahir Shrine Temple and El Kahir Oriental Band.

Survived by his wife of Bradenton; three sons, Harvey T. (Lucia) of San Antonio, Texas, Eugene B. (Rhonda) of Waterloo and Shawn P. (Kathy) of Ladera Ranch, Calif.; three daughters, Mary M. Miller of New York, N.Y., Colleen M. Hanson of Palm Beach, Fla., and Gwen (George) Kruse of Sarasota, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Kayla and Tyler Jackson of Waterloo, Bridgette and Harvey Jackson of San Antonio, Alexis Sulentic of Sarasota, James Miller of New York, N.Y., and Jackson Cole Hanson of Palm Beach.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Patricia Leachty.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
