WATERLOO - Marjorie Kremenak Cochran, 89, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Friendship Village Lakeview Landing.

She was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Traer, daughter of Anton and Lucy Kosnar Kremenak. She married Walter R. Cochran on Nov. 24, 1951, at Grace Brethren Church, Waterloo.

Marjorie was a graduate of the Kahler School of Nursing and attended Iowa State Teachers College and Denver Rockmont College.

Survived by her husband; two sons, John (Jamy) Cochran of Bettendorf and Don (Judy) Cochran of Apple Valley, Minn.; a daughter, Janet (Floyd) Rawleigh of Strasburg, Pa.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Kermenak of Pahrump, Nev.

Preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Kremenak and Vincent Kremenak; and a sister, Helen Rekers.

Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where family will greet friends after 1 p.m.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers can be directed to Allen College, Marjorie Cochran Nursing Scholarship or Friendship Village Foundation, Waterloo.
