CEDAR FALLS -- Arnold Eldon “Arne” Jensen, 68, of of 5117 Thyme Road, Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of lung disease.

He was born July 12, 1945, in Waterloo, the son of Maurice and Winifred Patterson Jensen. He married Sherry Folkes in 1965, and they later divorced. He married Marcia Crisman in 1984 in Cedar Falls.

Arne served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Little Rock (CLG-4) during the Vietnam War, receiving an honorable discharge in 1967. He worked for Universal Industries and as a finish carpenter for Cardinal Construction, retiring in 2011.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Shannon (Mark) Smith; a son, Daymon (Rachael); a stepdaughter, Sally (Joe) Craig; a stepson, Jon (Carol) Crisman; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie (Bernard) Mommer and Sally (Jerry) Sisson; and his pet West Highland Terrier, Candi.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside military services at noon Saturday conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49 at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
