CEDAR FALLS - Patricia M. “Pat” Zubak, 83, of Cedar Falls, died at home Sunday, June 15, 2014.

She was born April 28, 1931, in Frederika, daughter of John and Clara Pike Johnson. She married Wesley Mahlstedt on April 26, 1950, and they later divorced. She then married Nick Zubak on Dec. 21, 1972, in Washburn; he died March 12, 2003.

Pat graduated from Frederika High School and retired as secretary from Waterloo Wood Bearing. In retirement she was a Senior Companion with Hawkeye Community College.

Survived by three sons, Richard (Jean) Mahlstedt of Waterloo, Tracy (Renee) Zubak of Bolingbrook, Ill., and David (Maria) Zubak of Ventura, Calif.; two daughters, Kathy (Bob) Reimler of Chanhassen, Minn., and Julie (James Uhde) Jenney of Cedar Falls; several stepchildren; five grandchildren, Matt (Elizabeth) Mahlstedt, Greg (Amy) Mahlstedt, Nick (Jill) Reimler, Jill (Melissa) Jenney and Jay (Cody Nielsen) Jenney; numerous great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Lawrence (Myrna) Johnson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Everett and Veryl Johnson; and a sister, Audrey Johnson.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, with inurnment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.
