WATERLOO - Marjorie A. Brustkern Schwickerath, 91, of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1922, in Eagle Center, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Klein Brustkern. She married Robert Keckler on May 31, 1941; he died May 14, 1957. She married Leon Hubbard on Aug. 14, 1958; he died April 2, 1981. She married Earl Schwickerath on Oct. 14, 1983; he died May 10, 1998.

Marge was employed with Powers Manufacturing and later with the Waterloo Community Schools for many years. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a member of the Waterloo Women’s Club, Waterloo Elklets, Serra Club and the Power’s Retiree’s Sewing Club.

Survived by a son, Robert (Viv) Keckler of Omaha, Neb.; two daughters, Sandy Andersen and Lynette (Michael) Cutsforth, both of Waterloo; four grandchildren, Lisa Brown, Kim Nelson, Chad Keckler and Dylan Cutsforth; seven great-grandchildren, Collin Nelson, Kodi Nelson, Tyler Brown, Ashley Brown, Brittney Brown, Lauren Keckler and Alexis Keckler; and three brothers, Leo (Wilma), Peter (Theresa) and Garald (Betty) Brustkern.

Preceded in death by a son, Richard Keckler; two sisters, Marie Thiry and Marguerite Wilharm; and two brothers, Alvin and Melvin Brustkern.

Services: 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also an hour before services Friday at the church.
