REICHERT, VOSHELL, OLDFATHER, COUSIN

WATERLOO - Alo LaVon Reichert, 96, of Waterloo, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Fayette County, daughter of Henry and Alyce Oldfather Voshell. She married Charles Phillip Reichert on April 14, 1927, at the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Waterloo. They divorced in 1943. He died in 1962.

Ms. Reichert worked at several jobs, but mainly bought houses, fixed them up and resold them for a profit. She also was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Survivors include two granddaughters, Angela Oberg and Sandra Cook, both of California; other grandchildren with places unknown; several cousins, including her caretaker, LaVerle Sniffin of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Lawrence; a sister, Dola Voshell; and a half brother, Cecil Dean Cousin.

Graveside services: were 11 a.m. today at Calvary Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
