WATERLOO - Victor G. "Jerry" Heimbuck, 66, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at Allen Hospital.

He was born June 11, 1939, in Mason City, son of Victor and Mildred Kalavig Heimbuck. He married Dixie Scovel May 3, 1958, in Waterloo.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Heimbuck was retired from John Deere Co., having been an electrical supervisor.

Survived by his stepfather, Charles Gilbertson of Waterloo; his wife; a son, Troy Victor of Waterloo; three daughters, Teri (Kenny) Schares of Jesup, Cindy (Gary) Kayser of Independence and Lori (Dan) Dorfman of La Quinta, Calif.; seven grandchildren; a brother, LaVern of Waterloo; and a sister, Betty (Harold) Arnaman of Donaldson.

Preceded in death by his parents; a grandson; and a sister, Joann Bailey.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
