Mary Jean Frey Allen, 47, of Allison, died at home Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, from complications of Multiple Sclerosis.

She was born Oct. 4, 1957, in Waterloo, daughter of Eugene and Mary Ellen Beckmann Frey. She married Fred Allen, and they later divorced.

Mrs. Allen graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1976. She lived in Ames, Des Moines and Waterloo, where she worked as a waitress; worked for Younkers in fashion and retail; and in the collection department for John Deere.

Survivors include two sisters, Laura Frey of Mount Pleasant, Mich., and Carol (Chuck) Grooms of New Hartford.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Frey in infancy.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Waverly, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with a 7 p.m. public Scripture service.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial fund to be established at a later date.
