Lillian Entz Seegers passed away in peace on September 6, 2005, at the age of 94.

The daughter of Jacob and Laura Entz, she was born Aug. 16, 1911, in Galesville, Wisconsin and grew up in Waterloo. She received her B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Iowa and was a registered dietitian for several years.

She married Walter Seegers in 1935. The couple resided in Grosse Pointe, Michigan where Lillian taught first and second grade for more than twenty years. They moved to Rossmoor in 1982. Lillian was active in the Rossmoor Kiwanis Association for many years and helped manage their annual Alzheimer's Banquet for a number of years. She was beloved by many and was known for her kind heart and consistent, warm smile.

She was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her daughter Dorothy Messerschmitt, son in law David Messerschmitt, of Moraga, and granddaughter, Laura Messerschmitt, of San Francisco.

At her request, no services are planned. Donations can be made in her name to the American Red Cross, Katrina Relief Fund.
