WATERLOO - Arlene E. Stone, 85, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at the Western Home Communities, Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls.

She was born May 23, 1928, in Readlyn, daughter of August and Blanche Stremke Meyerhoff. She married Robert D. "Rocky" Stone on June 14, 1953, in Readlyn.

She graduated from Readlyn High School, attended Wartburg College and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. She worked in the payroll department at Operation Threshold for 25 years.

Survived by her husband; a son, Doug (Martha) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Mary (Marty) Anderson of Forest City; four grandchildren, John and David Stone of Cedar Falls, Amanda (Eddie) Bajric of Traer and Sarah (Travis Sanderson) Anderson of Ames; and a sister, Ruth (Jim) Beisner of Anaheim, Calif.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a twin sister, Darlene Millius.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel and also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
