WATERLOO -- Virginia Rose Hunt, 87, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital.

She was born Aug. 26, 1929, in Sioux City, daughter of Alfred and Evon Lettner Perry.

Virginia retired as custodian at the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls.

Survived by two sons, Gary (Carolyn) of Gainesville, Fla., and Horace Dexter III (Sally) of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Judith Partridge of Hartford, Conn., Cherry (Al) Payne of Charlottesville, Va., and Andrea (Dean) Berkley of Kansas City, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Todd Perry; and a sister, Lois Olson.

Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, preceded by an hour of visitation. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, is assisting the family.
