RAYMOND - Aleta Sophie Boehme, 92, of Raymond, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born April 6, 1922, in Readlyn, daughter of Reinhardt J. and Mabel Whinning Staack. She married Walter I. Boehme on June 16, 1940, in Klinger. He died Dec. 15, 1996.

Aleta was a homemaker.

Survived by three sons, Larry (Janice) of Wakefield, Kan., Billy (Lana) of Tomah, Wis., and Paul (Lisa) of Onalaska, Wis.; two daughters, Betty Owen of Raymond and Donna (Phil) Holt of Hillsboro, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evaan Schmitz of Waterloo and Lavera Blasberg of Waverly.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Daphene Kammeyer and LaDonna Bunger.

Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, with a 2:30 p.m. prayer service. Inurnment will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hillsboro, at a later date.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
