WATERLOO - Susan Jo Quail Woodman, 39, of Mount Holly, N.C., formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 31, 2005.

She was born July 31, 1965, in Waterloo, daughter of John and Nancy Flieder Quail. She married Stuart Kent Woodman.

Mrs. Woodman was a 1983 graduate of Central High School, Waterloo. She received her B.A. in information systems management from the University of Maryland. Susan was a water aerobics instructor at the Stowe Family YMCA, Belmont, N.C., and was employed as a data analyst for Premier Inc., Charlotte, N.C.

Survivors include her husband of Mount Holly; a son, Peyton John at home; a daughter, Charley Jo at home; her father and stepmother, Irene Quail of Weslaco, Texas; two brothers, Steven Quail of Forest City and Brian Quail of Tulsa, Okla.; a stepbrother, Curtis Lovelace of Gastonia, N.C.; and maternal grandfather, Harold McElvenny of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her mother.

Memorial services: 2 p.m. Sunday at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, 206 S.W. Walnut St., Ankeny. Visitation will follow the service. Ankeny Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
