WATERLOO - Tara Lee Meier, 64, of Thornton, Colo., formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, May 2, 2014.

She was born July 6, 1949, in Waterloo, daughter of Burdett and Mardelle Hall. She married Lee Meier on July 24, 1982.

Survived by her husband; her children, Wade (Tonya) Gerstenkorn of Las Vegas and Erin Gerstenkorn of Superior, Colo.; her grandchildren, Wynter Sjobakken, Skye Sjobakken and Zachary Gerstenkorn; and her siblings, Dana Southworth (Steve) of Waterloo, Alisa Hall (TJ Wiley) of Apple Valley, Minn., and Bill Hall (Rhonda) of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services: were May 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Thornton, Colo.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be made in Tara's name to the Birds of Prey Foundation in Broomfield, Colo.
