The body of boatswain's mate first class, Milo R. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kendall, 1122 West Seventh Street, will arrive in Waterloo Wednesday at 5:10 p. m on the Illinois Central Railroad.

Kendall was fatally injured Sept. 7, 1945, while serving in the line of duty aboard the destroyer USS McNulty in the south Pacific.

He was born Jan. 14, 1923, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Glen and Mayme Kendall, and entered the navy when he was a junior at West High School in 1941.

He had served on the cruiser Augusta at the time the President Roosevelt and former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill held a conference on that ship. He later served on a minesweeper out of Panama, and eventually went to the Pacific aboard the McNulty.

Surviving are his parents, and three brothers, Roy S. 1220 Glenny Avenue, Delano, 1150 Glenny Avenue, and Loren, Boise, Idaho/

He married Claire Lawless Aug. 26, 1944, at Boston, Mass. She is now remarried and living at Boston.

Mr. Kendall was a member of First Baptist Church.

Funeral services for World war II naval casualty Milo Kendall, boatswain's mate first class, whose body will be brought to Waterloo Wednesday, are set for 3 p. m Thursday in Kearns Garden chapel. Rev. A. L. Drake, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Boatswain Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kendall, 1122 West Seventh Street, was fatally injured while serving aboard the destroyer USS McNulty in the South Pacific.
