WATERLOO - Michael Dean Jones, 54, of Lorenzo, Calif., formerly of Waterloo, died May 23, 2005, at his home from Lou Gehrigs Disease.

He was born Aug. 24, 1950, in Waterloo, son of Alvie and Helen Kephart Jones.

Mike and Janet Swartz-Jones moved to California in 1971 and were together for 25 years. Mike was a contractor and built several homes in the San Francisco Bay area. Mike and Janet separated, and he married Kathy ONeal in 1999.

Survived by his wife, Kathy; his former wife, Janet; a brother, Charles Jones of Waterloo; two sisters, Grayce Holmes of Boise, Idaho, and Patricia Jones of Waterloo; and a half brother, Dick Kephart of Greenfield.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harley and Kenneth Jones; a nephew, Shane Lewis; and an infant niece, Brenda Holmes.

Graveside services: were held at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Hayward, Calif.
