CEDAR FALLS - Janet R. Rasmussen, 67, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo and New Hartford, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Welby and Iva Hill Rasmussen. She attended New Hartford Schools.

Survived by three sisters, Eunice Campbell and Vivien (Jim) Brookman, both of Waterloo, and Katherine Bennett of Des Moines; two nephews, Richard Campbell and Gary Oldenburger; and four nieces, Kristinia Wilson, Sheila Walker, Jenette Jebe and Angela Tyler.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene Rasmussen; and three nephews, James Campbell, Robert Campbell and James “Jay” Brookman.

Private family services: will be at a later date. Her body has been cremated. Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel is assisting the family.

Janet was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, working jigsaw puzzles and was the No. 1 fan of the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines.
