LA PORTE CITY - Larry D. Billings, 64, of La Porte City, died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of natural causes.

He was born March 7, 1941, in Waterloo, son of John S. and Maxine D. Murray Billings. He married Connie Meyers, and they later divorced.

Mr. Billings graduated from Orange High School in 1959, and later graduated from Upper Iowa University. He worked as a project manager for Morrison-Knudsen, Boise, Idaho.

Survivors include a son, Todd (Robyn) of Concord, Calif.; a daughter, Tami (Jeff) Foss of La Porte City; four grandchildren, Scott, Nicole, Melissa and Justin Foss; four brothers, Gary (Linda) of LaGrange, Ky., Rick (Dixie) and Wayne (Cathy), both of Waterloo, and Dean (Deb) of Rock Valley, Tenn.; and a sister, Patricia Bergmeier of Garrison.

Preceded in death by his fiancee, Barb Ballheim.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Baptist Church, with burial in Orange Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
