WATERLOO, IOWA - Everett Dean Rundlett, 83, of Waterloo, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, Dysart, Iowa.

He was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Shannon City, son of Robert and Margaret Speelman Rundlett. He married Henrietta “Retta” Hager in 1953; she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2013.

He graduated from Arispe High School in 1948. Everett and his wife farmed in southwest Iowa, later moving to Des Moines. Everett came to Waterloo in 1960 to haul petroleum. He then became self-employed as a truck driver, which he drove for more than 50 years.

Survived by three sons: Robert and William (Deb), both of Vinton, and Jeffory of Waterloo; a daughter, Sue Andriano of Waterloo; five grandchildren: Jessica Rundlett of Des Moines, Josie (Matt) Beecher of College Park, Md., Dakota Rundlett of Vinton and Jason and Allyson Andriano of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Bernice Hardman.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
