CEDAR FALLS - Madeline Louise Hagge, 76, of Cedar Falls, died at home Monday, Oct. 30, 2006.

She was born July 31, 1930, in Manning, daughter of Ray and Eleanor Truhe Hamann. She married Harry D. Hagge Jr. on Nov. 3, 1951, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll.

Mrs. Hagge was a 1948 graduate of Carroll High School and graduated from St. Anthony Nursing School in 1951. She was a registered nurse at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls and at Allen Memorial Hospital and Schoitz Hospital, both in Waterloo. She also worked for Dr. Tom Updergraff and served as the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish health nurse. She and her husband have owned and operated the Cedar Falls Dairy Queen since 1976. She retired in 1995.

She was active in both the Phi Tau Omega Sorority in the Kappa Nu Chapter, and her church, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jon (Deborah) of Ankeny; three daughters, Lori Whitehill of McPherson, Kan., Dana (John) Eastman of Brainerd, Minn., and Kerrie (Kurt) Albrecht of Lenexa, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Shannon, Drew, Evan, Alex, Blake, Brooke and Conner; two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Lanie; a brother, Gerald (Linda) Hamann of Turtle Lake, Wis.; and a sister, Carolyn Jean (Jerome) Thompson of Blue Springs, Mo.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Waterloo, with graveside committal services 10 a.m. Saturday at Carroll City Cemetery, Carroll. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also Friday at Dahn & Woodhouse Funeral Home, Carroll, with a 3 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. Christian wake service.
