Funeral services for Cory Ray Witcombe, 22 months, of 2145 Burton Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Kearns- Dykeman Chapel. He was fatally injured in a car-truck accident Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 20 and Burton Avenue. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

He was bom Oct. 31, 1972, in Waterloo, the son of Gary and Linda Sorensen Witcombe.

Survivors include his parents; a brother, Derek, age four; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Dona Witcombe of 1115 Doreen St., Apt. 9; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Sorensen of 6039 Streeter, Cedar Falls; and paternal great-grandfather, Frank Witcombe of Cherokee.

Funeral services for Cory Ray Witcombe, 22 months, of 2145 Burton Ave. will be 2 p.m. Friday at Keams-Dykeman Chapel.

Cory was killed in a cartruck collison at the corner of Highway 20 and Burton Ave. Tuesday at 9:01 a.m.

Burial will be at a later date following the recovery of his mother, who was seriouly injured in the accident.

Boy Killed, Three Hurt In Car-Truck Collision.

A 22-month-old boy was killed and three others injured Tuesday morning in a cartruck
collision at the comer of Broadway Street (Highway 20) and Burton Avenue.

Police said Cory Lee Witcombe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Witcombe of 2145
Burton Ave., was dead on arrival at Allen Memorial Hospital. '

His mother, Linda, 24, and his four-year-old brother, Dereck, were taken to Allen Memorial for treatment. Authorities said Mrs. Witcombe was admitted to the intensive care unit for treatment of a fractured jaw, head injuries and multiple cuts. Dereck was admitted for treatment of a possible head injury. Mrs. Witcombe was listed in serious condition while Dereck was reported in good condition.

Police said the accident happened about 9 a.m. when Mrs. Witcombe pulled into the path of a truck traveling west on Broadway Street.

The driver of the truck, Larry Wood, 23, of 428 Center St., was treated at Allen Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and released, police said.

Funeral services for Cory are pending al the Kearns- Dykeman Chapel.
