Sudden Death of Mrs. Turner

Mrs. Michael V. B. Turner died suddenly yesterday afternoon at her home on West Fourth Street. The death was entirely unexpected as Mrs. Turner was in her usual health and was preparing to drive down town with her husband.

Mr. Turner went to the barn to get his team ready, leaving his wife to continue her preparations. When he returned he found her lying on the floor and unconscious. He lifted her to a bed, called in a neighbor to attend her, and at once hastened to call a physician. All efforts to restore consciousness were unavailing and within an hoar after the discovery of her unconscious condition life had departed.

Mrs. Turner's maiden name was Helen Parker. She was born in 1847* and was married in 1867 to her husband, who survives her. They settled in 1874 in the home where death occurred yesterday, the last house on West Fourth Street before reaching the Eagle Center Road

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the home. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.

SUDDENLY DIES

Mrs. Michael Turner Called Quickly Yesterday Afternoon

Mrs. Michael V. Turner died very suddenly about 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home on West Fourth street near the southwest limits of the city.

She had been unwell for a year or two, but was in her usual condition of health yesterday. In the afternoon Mr. Turner left the house to hitch his horse to the wagon. He and his wife were expecting to come up town. He hitched the rig near the house and went into the dwelling to see if his wife was ready and found her lying on the floor and laboring for breath. At once he called in the neighbors and summoned a physician as soon as possible, but nothing could be done for the woman. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon and burial will be in Elmwood.

The deceased was over 50 years of age and enjoyed the respect of all who knew her.
