[Waterloo Semi Weekly Courier, Tuesday, February 23, 1909, Waterloo, Iowa]

Death, summoned Mrs. Lucy A. Kenison this morning at 10:35 at her home, 417 Cherry Street, the end coming as a sweet relief to many months of pain. Mrs. Kenison had suffered with heart trouble for a year and a half and for the past two months was seriously ill.

Deceased, whose maiden name was also Lucy A. Kenison, was born Jan.10, 1843, in New York, being at the time of her death 66 years, 1 month and 12 days old.

One son and three daughters survive the mother: Conductor F. O.
Kenison and Mrs. Ira A. Utter, Waterloo; Mrs. John Egan, Colton, S. D.; Mrs. Russell Fierstein, South Dakota.

Mrs. Kenison was for a number of years a resident of New Hartford and the body will be taken to that place for burial. Before coming to Waterloo she lived in Chicago, but her home had been in Waterloo for eighteen years. During that time she won a wide circle of friends and all will regret that death has called her. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist faith.

The funeral will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by Rev. Effie K. Jones of the Universalist church. The body will be taken at 8:50 Wednesday morning to New Hartford, where burial will take place.
