DUNKERTON - Myrna Jean Turner, 72, of Dunkerton, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at her son's home in Dunkerton.

She was born Dec. 23, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Claude Raymond and Erma Mae Wells McMillin. She married Donald Turner; he preceded her in death.

A 1959 graduate of Dunkerton High School, Mrs. Turner was a cook at Toll Gate Tavern, Dunkerton, for many years. Later she provided day care in her home.

Survived by three daughters, Janine (Richard) Mayer of Lime Springs, and Jacalyn (Guido) Miller and Michelle (Paul) Dennis, both of Dunkerton; two sons, Curt (Pam) of Dunkerton and Trent (Wendy) of Altoona; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandson on the way; a brother, Cliff (Marsha) McMillin of Dunkerton; and a sister, Carolyn Moe of Urbandale.

Preceded in death by her parents; and special friend, Gary Iverson.

Celebration of Life party/potluck: 5 to ? at Tollgate Tavern on Saturday, Oct. 19, hosted by her family.
